Omaha Neb. - Drake University Rowing competed against Creighton in a tune-up race this morning. The race format was one-and-done, which mirrored the way the MAAC Championship will be formatted in late May.
"The weather was beautiful today," Head Coach Charlie DiSilvestro said. "We couldn't have asked for better weather. The team really stepped up and accomplished one of the main goals we needed to achieve to prepare ourselves for the conference. We wanted to row and finish the race with no reserves left. We wanted to allot their energy so that the last stroke they took was the last stroke they could take.
